HARMONIC LIGHTWAVES 1550nm TX & AMPLIFIER

The advanced technology used to design and develop
the MAXLink transmission system provides users with many
distinct advantages for optimizing the performance of
their broadband network, while reducing the cost of operation:

    • Transmitter's dual complementary optical outputs allow for redundancy.
    • Advanced electronic broadband linearization, coupled with Harmonic's optical amplifiers and the low fiber loss at1550nm,offers operators reach in excess of 120 km while achieving excellent signal quality.
    • External modulation insures low noise and outstanding CSO performance.
    • Wide operating temperature range of 0 to 50 C provides application flexibility.
    • Unique 10-log rule for CTB cascading with other network elements permits operators to reach a higher modulation index for better performance and longer reach.
    • Modular HL 4000 broadband fiber platform housing provides a super luminescent alphanumeric display and front panel control buttons for local monitoring and set-up of all transmitter operating parameters.
    • Built-in comprehensive local and remote network management allows monitoring and system control from one location, lowering system management costs and increasing system reliability.
    • Simple "plug and play"operation reduces time and cost of installation.
    • Compact, stackable, modular packaging conserves headend space and simplifies maintenance.
    • Complements Harmonic Lightwaves' YAGLink and PWRLink transmitters.

    HARMONIC LIGHTWAVES 1310nm DFB TRANSMITTER
The innovative design of the PWRLink transmitter and the complete HL 4000 System offer the user many advantages to address the needs of today and tomorrow, making it a truly new-generation platform:

    • Offers a wide range of performance levels, providing cost effective solutions to meet specific system requirements.
    • Advanced predistortion circuitry and algorithm for both CTB and CSO provide minimal distortion and a large modulation index over a wide temperature range.
    • 750 MHz capability provides flexibility in delivery of signals and services with either loading of 80 channels to 550 MHz with an additional 200 MHz for digital information or 110 channels utilizing the entire 750 MHz bandwidth.
    • Unparalleled frequency response provides high performance and efficient system integration.
    • Complements YAGLink? series transmitters by the unique 10 log rule for adding CTB distortion, maximizing flexbility and cost-savings.
    • Removable flange mounted optical connectors facilitate maintenance.
    • Automatic or manual RF level control simplifies operation.
    • Simple "plug and play" operation reduces time and cost of installation.
    • Microprocessor control of all key parameters provides consistent and optimum product performance and allows for integrated network management.

    HL CONTROLLER & POWER SUPPLY

    • Highly efficient 180 Watt power supply reduces overall power consumption
    • Over voltage protection enhances performance and reliability
